A Tale of Two Olivers

On Monday Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant opened its Norwich branch and we managed to land a booking for opening night! I highly recommend it, the food and service were excellant and we indulged in a three course meal!

A bread selection and Italian fried cheese ravioli for starters with a glass of Bellini (something new).
A Prosciutto and Shaved pear salad/ Jamies Italian Burger for mains.

And to finish a delicious Raspberry and Amaretto Chocolate Brownie / Chocolate Santo Vin Pot with Ice Cream.

The food was wonderful and indulgent; so much so that we were late for the real reason we were out that night. We had tickets for Oliver! at the Theatre Royal.

I loved the 1968 (yes it is that old!) film when I was a child, actually I still do, and will happily sing along to all the songs! Brian Connelly was excellent as Fagin adding an extra spark of humour as well as embracing Ron Moody's style of singing!
